If you think about it, everything you create originates in your mind and is brought to reality by your own hand. You couldn’t accomplish anything if you didn’t utilize your hands. God also imagine everything first before creation and thus, God created everything with his fingers. “When I look at the heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars which you have made,” – Psalm 8:3. God also formed us with his thumbprint in our hearts. Sometimes we seek something we can’t find, and it is our seeking divine love that only God can give. We are His creations and our hearts destine to seek Him.
The Greatest Thumbprint of God is found in Jesus Christ.
The Bible says that when we look at Jesus, we see the invisible God (Colossians 1:15). In other words, when we take a good look at Jesus and what He has done for us on the cross, we get a glimpse of who God is and what He’s like. That’s why the apostle Paul tells us that no man can know or understand fully who God is unless they learn it from Him directly (1 Corinthians 2:11). It is simply to understand what Jesus did for us 2000 years ago, a gesture of God’s compassion and love. God created us, unique and loved from the beginning, down to our very own fingerprints, which no one else matches in the world.
God’s Promises Are Forever
Despite the fact that we aren’t able to picture our eternal lives but through Jesus, he speaks directly to our hearts. “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am…I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” – John 14:1-4, 6. God has imprinted us with his own thumbprint so that we might always seek him, and through his promises, that will give us hope as we live in this world.
God has a plan for each of our lives. He knows where we’re going. He knows what our future holds. He knows what challenges we’ll go through. He knows what great things we’ll do for His kingdom. But He also knows how we’ll respond to those challenges. And He knows what our hearts and minds are like. God knows what your strengths and weaknesses are. He knows what dreams are in your heart. And He has a plan for your life that will bring glory to His name and help you reach your potential.
As we look to the cross, we see God’s love demonstrated in Jesus. We see His willingness to pay an infinite price to save us. We see His willingness to suffer on our behalf. And we see His commitment to never leave us nor forsake us. Remember, God promised never to leave you or forsake you when you put your faith in Him and follow Him. He promised that He would never abandon you or leave you alone (Hebrews 13:5). When you’re going through a difficult time, remember that God will never abandon you or forsake you. When you’re struggling with temptation, remember that God will never abandon you or forsake you.
Writer Thoughts
The closer you get to God, the more you’ll understand His nature and the more you’ll discover about Him. The more time you spend in His word and in prayer, the more insight you’ll have into the fingerprints of God. And the more you seek His face and His will, the more you’ll encounter the thumbprint of God.
